Executive coaching is a tool for individual leadership development and change management. Specifically, coaches work with individuals to identify challenges and develop strategies for changing behaviors that lead to personal success and improved business impact. Skills and knowledge are built utilizing a variety of tools including setting expectations, improving communication, and addressing nonproductive behavior.
Fanning Institute coaching faculty are certified coaches using the Sherpa Coaching philosophy, a proven and market research based program. Candidates for coaching include leaders and managers with supervisory and product responsibilities, individuals transitioning to a new position, new managers, and emerging leaders. Coaching takes place within a specified, agreed upon timetable, through a combination of in-person meetings, videoconferencing, and phone calls.
