In partnership with the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC), the Fanning Institute developed CHLI for GHCC members to receive leadership training to assist with their business leadership skills and create a critical mass of new leadership that will be provided with the tools and opportunities to become philanthropists, board members, appointed officials and elected officials. In addition, graduates join a network of individuals who may serve as mentors to other aspiring business and community leaders within the GHCC.
Over the course of several sessions, participants learn about leadership styles and strategies, explore leadership in the context of innovation and creativity, and discuss ways to address issues in the Hispanic community through the lens of leadership and community development. Each member of the class also identifies an individual leadership challenge and receives peer-to-peer coaching related to that challenge.
