Associate Director for Conflict Resolution and Youth Serving Programming (Job #F2379P)

  • This full-time, benefits-eligible position is responsible as a faculty member for securing, managing, and building a portfolio of client work that aligns with the vision and mission of the Fanning Institute. In addition to the faculty roles/responsibilities, the Associate Director is responsible for assisting the Director in implementing the vision, mission, and strategic plan of the Institute to include strategy, budgeting, personnel, marketing and communications, instruction and training, and research and evaluation. The Associate Director must have a comprehensive understanding of working with communities and organizations, particularly in Fanning’s leadership development mission, organizational development, and strategic planning.  The Associate Director will build project teams of faculty and staff to leverage Institute expertise on conflict resolution and youth-serving client projects and initiatives, assist with strategic initiatives of the Institute, and represent the Fanning Institute in internal and external meetings as assigned by the Director.

Public Service Faculty (Job #F2357P)

  • This full-time, benefits-eligible position is responsible for securing, managing, and building a portfolio of client work that aligns with the vision and mission of the Fanning Institute. The faculty member provides consultation, facilitation, training, technical assistance, and applied research to clients on diverse leadership development needs. The faculty member provides services in alignment with Institute’s mission and is a link between local communities and UGA expertise. The Fanning Institute is comprised of a range of faculty and staff who work from the Institute’s office on the UGA Athens campus. Faculty members report to the assigned Associate Director.

Marketing & Communications Manager (Job #S13478P)

  • This full-time, benefits-eligible position works with the institute’s public service faculty and staff to implement editorial strategies that align with content marketing and communications efforts across the unit and think creatively about new and innovative ways to promote the Institute. The successful candidate will have experience writing and editing content for multiple platforms and multiple content areas, including research, features, profiles, news copy, and marketing copy. In addition, the individual will be responsible for the creation and design of institute’s collateral, managing the institute’s social media, overseeing the website, and overseeing internal communications for the institute. The individual will also supervise other communications staff, maintain a thorough knowledge of the work of the institute, and assist with communications initiatives and new marketing strategies. The Public Relations Manager works closely with the communications operations in the Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach.

Program Operations Coordinator IV (Job #S13480P)

  • This full-time, benefits-eligible position provides program coordination for the Institute’s programs in Georgia and beyond. The primary responsibilities are to provide support and day-to-day management of assigned projects, especially activities related to broadening and strengthening the engagement of the client and stakeholders’ relationships, and to design and deliver programs and trainings. This position will work with the Embark Georgia team. Program Operations Coordinators operate with a high degree of independence and require limited supervision.

Program Operations Coordinator (Job #S13357P)

  • This full-time, benefits-eligible position provides program coordination for the Institute’s programs in Georgia and beyond. The primary responsibilities are: 1) coordinating the Institute’s programs; 2) coordinating and organizing community and organization-based programming; 3) managing and/or supporting the Institute’s Minors on Campus policies and practices; 4) providing responsible management of programmatic purchases and related reporting and 5) supervising students assigned to programs. This position operates with a high degree of independence and requires limited supervision. Position reports directly to the Associate Director of the assigned division.
