Inclusive Leadership DevelopmentHelping leaders build more inclusive communities and organizations

Community leaders must create spaces and opportunities for individuals from all walks of life to be heard, understood and appreciated within their communities. We assist communities and organizations in engaging in and leading open, thoughtful and constructive strategies and dialogue around difficult and complex issues. Our programming helps broaden understanding, leads to new learnings, and promotes positive change and unity.

We help to develop inclusive communities and organizations through facilitation, programming, services and technical support in the following areas:

  • Dialogue Training
  • Adaptive Leadership Training and Technical Support
Adaptive leadership requires a mindset shift from thinking that leaders and experts are the ones providing solutions to recognizing that adaptive challenges call for leaders who can mobilize, motivate, organize, reorient and focus the attention of the people with the problem to enact meaningful change. Adaptive Leadership Training and Technical Support introduces leaders to the critical first steps needed to understand adaptive leadership and how to diagnose the actual problem to set the stage for finding solutions.
  • Conflict Resolution
Conflict resolution represents any process or method where parties in dispute attempt to reach an agreement. Fanning faculty offers training and support services in mediation, conflict resolution, dialogue and other alternative dispute resolution processes so individuals will possess the necessary leadership skills to address barriers and transform conflict in their communities and organizations.

    • Mediation Training
Mediation Training is for individuals who want to register as mediators in the state of Georgia or who desire to master the skills of conflict resolution and problem solving. Upon completion of training, participants meet the classroom requirements to register as a mediator in the state of Georgia.
    • Alternative Dispute Resolution
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is any legal method for resolution of disputes other than litigation. These strategies include: mediation, arbitration, early neutral evaluation (or case evaluation) and many hybrid processes. The Fanning Institute offers a variety of services and courses covering these ADR strategies.
  • Executive Coaching
Executive coaching is a tool for individual leadership development and change management. Specifically, coaches work with individuals to identify challenges and develop strategies for changing behaviors that lead to personal success and improved business and community impact.
  • Leading Change Training and Technical Support
Leading Change Training and Technical Support introduces leaders to the essential concepts involved in leading change at the community level and provides them with planning supports for a specific project of their choosing. Helping community leaders better understand the essential role they can play in leading change initiatives in the community is a key ingredient in any leadership development program.
