Regional Leadership DevelopmentHelping to develop leaders with regional perspectives.

Neighboring communities often face many of the same challenges and can benefit when collaborative initiatives extend beyond county lines.

The Fanning Institute can assist in developing a leadership curriculum that helps communities think beyond traditional geographic boundaries, identify existing and emerging leaders, and equip them with the collaborative leadership skills/knowledge to strengthen the entire region.

Regional and multi-county leadership development programs bring community leaders from all walks of life together to develop their individual leadership skills, build relationships with leaders from other communities, and learn about the issues and resources unique to that particular region.

Fanning Institute faculty have the instructional design and curriculum development expertise to tailor the programming to the specific leadership needs and distinctive challenges of a particular region. For example, the Fanning Institute designed the 21-county Locate South GeorgiaLEADS program, the 11-county Middle Georgia Regional Leadership Champions program, and the nine-county Leadership Northwest Georgia program.
