Bio

At the Fanning Institute, Nipuna develops institutional and program impact assessments and provides various data, research, and evaluation assistance to clients including needs assessments, data management and governance, strategic planning, and impact reporting.

Nipuna brings a wealth of knowledge in data governance, management, and policy, having consulted with various organizations in nonprofit, nongovernmental, technology, energy, and economic development industries prior to Fanning. Nipuna has led diverse teams to initiate corporate social responsibility programs, establish data governance structures, conduct stakeholder needs assessments, and research and evaluation for local and international organizations such as the United Nations and International Research and Exchange Board. Early in his career, Nipuna built and scaled a global tech startup for 8 years where he developed mobile and enterprise technology solutions to support organizations and communities to track their social impact on the sustainable development goals. Nipuna is certified as an Artificial intelligence Design Thinking Practitioner (IBM).
