VIRTUAL EVENT: General Civil Mediation Training (28 Hours)
April 22 - April 29
Learn the basic skills necessary in the mediation process, as well as how to mediate a variety of disputes. By engaging in numerous role-plays, participants will gain an understanding of how to effectively represent clients in mediation and develop the skills necessary to become successful mediators. This class is designed to meet the basic training requirements for those who want to be registered as a civil mediator through the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution (GODR).
Note: After completing General Civil Mediation Training (28 hours), mediators seeking registration as general mediators must complete additional training of five observations and/or co-mediations. General Mediation Practicum (12 hours), offered by the Fanning Institute, serves as an approved mediation practicum to meet this requirement.
Dates and Times: Apr. 22-24, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Apr. 29, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
