The University Of Georgia School Of Law and the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development are offering two courses for individuals who are interested in registering as domestic relations mediators in the State of Georgia. The training courses will be held at the University of Georgia School of Law.
Domestic Relations Mediation Training, a forty-two hour course approved by the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution (GODR) for individuals seeking to register as domestic mediators, is being held July 31 – August 4, 2017. Domestic Mediation Practicum
Mediators who seek registration in the category of domestic relations must observe at least one mediation of a divorce or custody case and participate in at least two co-mediations of divorce or custody cases. In lieu of one observation and two co-mediations of divorce or custody cases, prospective domestic relations mediators may substitute an approved domestic relations mediation practicum. Georgia Law and the Fanning Institute offer an approved practicum.
Dates/Times: August 5 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and August 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Domestic Relations Mediation Training & Practicum Combination: $1500
