
Bio
David Canady serves a dual role with the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development and the Georgia Small Business Development Center (SBDC). He is dedicated to advancing business and leadership development across Georgia, with a particular focus on rural communities. His work includes identifying consulting, training, and research resources, as well as assisting communities with leadership and economic development initiatives.
Canady is a seasoned small business professional and entrepreneur. He joined the University of Georgia with more than 30 years of private-sector experience as a business owner. In addition to his applied work, he serves as an adjunct lecturer in entrepreneurship and is certified by the International Economic Development Council as an Entrepreneurial Economic Development Professional.
