In her role at the Fanning Institute, Allyson provides program support for the institute’s leadership programs that serve the state of Georgia and surrounding areas. This work includes team planning and providing budgeting support, logistical management and programmatic assessment and reporting.
Prior to joining the Fanning Institute, Allyson was a Program Coordinator for Extension at UGA and she taught elementary school in the Jackson County School district for 11 years. Her notable achievements include a hike from Georgia to Maine along the Appalachian Trail in 2015. Allyson is actively involved in Athenspets and the Athens Area Humane Society, two local animal welfare nonprofits, and holds a seat on both organizations’ boards of directors
