Hospital Authority of Liberty County GA (LRMC)
Liberty Regional Medical Center Plan
| Abstract |
The Fanning Institute, in collaboration with the UGA College of Public Health, designed a strategic planning process for the Hospital Authority Board. The Board and Liberty Regional Medical Center executive staff underwent the strategic planning process in 2007 to prepare for the expansion of nearby Fort Stewart and the expected increased demand for LRMC services. After the strategic plan was finalized in November 2008, Fanning was contracted to evaluate the plan’s implementation phase. Skip Teaster, a certified community economic developer at the Fanning Institute, appeared before the Hospital Authority of Liberty County in July to present a report on the hospital’s progress towards achieving strategic goals. Teaster’s presentation and written report demonstrated significant progress towards achieving the hospital’s goals. The Board’s vice-chair credited the implementation audit as the driving force behind making so much progress in such a short period of time. |
