Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership (IGEL)

The Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership, Inc.(IGEL)is dedicated to building and sustaining a diverse network of environmentally educated leaders to help resolve Georgia's environmental challenges. IGEL brings together leaders with a proven commitment to confronting environmental issues in our state and to sustaining and improving the health of Georgia's environmental resources.

IGEL believes that by gathering important stakeholders from many backgrounds, solutions can be reached that address the needs of the many communities in the state and that account for the opinions, bases of power and economic resources of the people of Georgia. IGEL training sessions focus on leadership development with regard to current environmental issues and emerging environmental challenges, environmental problem- solving, communication skills and conflict management.
