LEAD21 graduate Steve Wyatt has been appointed Associate Dean for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development and Extension Professor for the College of Engineering at the University of Missouri. In this role he will have the responsibility of leading the entrepreneurship and outreach programs of the College. In addition to Steve's current Extension and College duties as Statewide Director of the Business Development Program, he will be responsible for providing entrepreneurship leadership within the College of Engineering, facilitating College of Engineering entrepreneurship courses and collaboration with other MU schools and colleges, connecting with industry for R&D, teaching, and service contracts and collaborations, supporting entrepreneurial companies including faculty start-ups, facilitating for-credit distance education offerings, facilitating and organizing entrepreneurial short courses and workshops, and working with faculty to integrate research, teaching, and entrepreneurship.

Joshua Millspaugh, associate professor and director of graduate studies in fisheries and wildlife, was one of two educators nationally honored with the 2008 United States Department of Agriculture Food and Agricultural Sciences Excellence in College and University Teaching Award. The award is the highest honor bestowed by the USDA for university-level achievement. Millspaugh is a graduate of the LEAD21 program.
