Mr. Brown provides consulting and educational services to economic development professionals, community leaders, and regional organizations. He also manages several training programs that focus on the unique needs of local development authority executives and board members.His principle focus on traditional economic development is broadened by his interests in redevelopment and environmentally-related opportunities in economic and community development.
Most of his economic development career has focused on providing technical services to existing business and industry in order to enhance their competitiveness. Additional experience in economic and community development includes professional practice at the local, regional, and state levels with technical specialties in strategic planning, marketing, economic evaluation, infrastructure planning, professional training, facilitating group discussions and decisions, and research management.
An active civic and professional volunteer, Mr. Brown provides leadership and technical expertise to several state, multi-state, and national organizations.He has been designated as a Certified Economic Developer by the International Economic Development Council.
