Biography
Linda Hobbs joined the new Fanning Institute in July 2005 and provided administrative support to the economic development programs until Fall 2005. Since then, her primary responsibility has been to manage the self-assessment instruments used in Fanning Institute’s leadership programs. Additionally, she provides clerical assistance to Fanning Institute’s LEAD21 team and serves as backup for Fanning’s receptionist.
Previously, Linda worked for three years in the Office of Economic Development Assistance (OEDA), part of UGA’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Her major responsibilities were providing support for training programs such as Development Authority and Downtown Development Authority Board Member Training. She also managed billing for OEDA consulting activities, tracked program income and expenses, and prepared purchase orders, check requests and department deposit transmittals.
Linda’s employment at UGA began in 1987 as a Senior Secretary for the Institute for Business, Corporate Education Division. Organizational restructuring in 1990 placed her in the SBDC Continuing Education Division. Her job responsibilities were to handle correspondence and programmatic support for statewide training programs, professional development activities, and special projects.
