Biography
Carolina Darbisi is a Public Service faculty member at the University of Georgia's Fanning Institute where she focuses on developing and supporting multicultural programs in both human and community development. Carolina serves as a lead faculty for Leadership Sin Limites, the Institute's Latino Youth leadership program, as well as designing, promoting, and conducting other programs for Latino populations. Carolina also has responsibility for promoting and leading the Institute's youth initiatives.
Carolina Darbisi brings to the Institute over six (6) years of professional experience in Minority, Outreach, Multicultural, and Community based programs. Prior to joining the Institute, Carolina was the Gainesville Campaign Community Coordinator for the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (G-CAPP); there, she was responsible for managing the daily operations of the Campaign Community, for providing support in community needs assessment, leadership, and program development, implementation, and evaluation. During her tenure with G-CAPP, Carolina successfully implemented a best practice replication program aimed at giving parents and other community adults the information and skills they need to communicate more effectively with teens. Carolina's educational credentials include a Master of Science from Mercer University and a Master of Education in Adult Education from the University of Georgia; currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Adult Education from the University of Georgia.
