Community Leadership Development Specialist

Louise Hill joined the University of Georgia Fanning Institute in 2003 as the Community Leadership Development Specialist. Her primary responsibilities include initial needs assessment, program design, curriculum development and teaching in support of adult leadership programs throughout the state.

Prior to her current role, Louise served as the Director of Development and Alumni Relations for the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. In this role she oversaw the fund raising and alumni activities for the College. Before coming to UGA, Louise was Director of Program Development and Education for the Georgia Farm Bureau Federation.

Louise is an alumnus of Leadership Georgia and former Board Member. She received the 1994 Kerr Award for her active support of Leadership Georgia. She was a founder of the Georgia Agri-Leaders Forum. She has served as President of the University of Georgia College of Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni Association and the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural Alumni Association. She currently serves on the LEAD Athens Steering Committee.

Louise holds an Associate Degree of Science from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics and Journalism from the University of Georgia and Masters in Adult Education from the University of Georgia.
