Kim Anderson

Public Service Associate
Kimberly Anderson joined the University of Georgia’s Fanning Institute and Georgia 4-H Youth staff in 2002 as the Youth Leadership Program Specialist. Her role is to coordinate resources and build capacity for creating and sustaining premier youth leadership development program in Georgia. Her primary responsibilities are in the area of youth leadership development, technical assistance and program development.
Prior to joining the University of Georgia faculty, Kim gained experience in youth development through fifteen years of service in the field of Agricultural Education. Her roles as a classroom teacher, student organization administrator, and personal development trainer provided her opportunities to work directly with youth in their personal, leadership and career development.
Her belief in youth development is one of her most significant credentials. She believes that the success of any sustained effort with youth development requires youth, volunteers, teachers, and state/national staff working collaboratively to meet the needs of an ever-changing clientele base.
Kim earned her undergraduate degree in Agricultural Education from Iowa State University. While completing her master’s degree in Extension Education at the University of Georgia, Kim completed research on the motivational needs of middle grade Agricultural Education students. She is currently in the process of attaining her doctorate in Adult Education through the University of Georgia.
