Educational Program Specialist

Emily Davis joined the team at the Fanning Institute in January of 2003. Emily has more than fifteen years of managerial experience on and off the University of Georgia campus. Prior to joining Fanning, Emily was the Administrative Specialist and Assistant to the Director of the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Her positions on the University campus encompass working as the Recruiting Secretary for the Football Office, Secretary to Loran Smith and the Bulldog Clubs, Managing Editor of the seasonal Football Program Publication and Administrative Specialist to the Director of the Center for International Governance, CVIOG. Working experience unrelated to the academic world include ten years working in a medical practice as a Systems Administrator.

Born and raised in Smyrna, Georgia, she has made Athens home for thirty three years. Emily is married to Bud Davis, a retired University employee.
