All community Leadership Programs in the State of Georgia are invited to be our guest.
Plans for the 2008 Leadership Day, sponsored by the Georgia Rural Development Council (GRDC), have been announced for Monday, February 11, 2008. The program will begin at 11:00 AM at the Georgia Freight Depot in Atlanta (map). Lunch will be served, and a very special keynote speaker is in the works.
Leadership Day is a time when leaders from all across Georgia come together to share best practices and success stories and identify ways to improve leadership efforts in Georgia. It is also State 4-H Day at the Capitol. The event is coordinated by the Fanning Institute at the University of Georgia, so the program promises to be informative and offer great networking opportunities.
You may bring your current leadership class or representatives of your program. Space is limited so we must receive your reservation form by Monday, January 28, 2008. Reservations are required and critical to insure we have an accurate headcount for the luncheon. There is not a fee for this function. Last year we had over 700 participants and we’re expecting a bigger crowd for 2008!
All of the members of the Georgia General Assembly will receive an invitation to Leadership Day 2008. If you plan to participate in Leadership Day, we encourage you to contact your local legislators and reinforce this invitation by inviting them to join your community representatives. We anticipate the luncheon will conclude at 1:15 pm.
If you have questions about the day’s activities, please do not hesitate to contact Louise Hill or Emily Davis at 706-542-1108 or , . We look forward to receiving your reservation form and your participation in Leadership Day!
Don’t wait… Register today.
