Leadership ¡Sin Limites! 2008-2009 Applications Available
Students throughout the state, ages 15-19, with a demonstrated interest in building leadership in Latino communities are encouraged to apply for the program. Participants must be willing to commit to developing and implementing a plan to impact positive change in their communities. Building Bridges with Brownfields: 2008 Brownfields Academy
The next Georgia Brownfields Academy will be held 18 April 2008 in Augusta at Enterprise Mill. This day-long event will cost $35 and is limited to 100 participants. An optional boat trip and reception is scheduled for 17 April from 2–6 p.m. for an additional charge. Delene Porter Named President of OneAthens Community Foundation
Congratulations to Delene Porter, named President and CEO of OneAthens Community Foundation. The Foundation is an outgrowth of the Partners for a Prosperous Athens which is staffed by Porter, Joe Whorton, Jim Geiser, and Sandy Christopher of the Fanning Institute.
New Round of Community Leadership Initiative Grants Begins
The Community Leadership Initiative provides funding to eligible applicants from a Leadership Investment Infrastructure Fund at the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA). Funds are awarded in two funding cycles per year based on the desired program features and criteria established by the GRDC and the Community Leadership Initiative Design Team. More information…
