Students throughout the state, ages 15-19, with a demonstrated interest in building leadership in Latino communities are encouraged to apply for the program. Participants must be willing to commit to developing and implementing a plan to impact positive change in their communities. The next Georgia Brownfields Academy will be held 18 April 2008 in Augusta at Enterprise Mill. This day-long event will cost $35 and is limited to 100 participants. An optional boat trip and reception is scheduled for 17 April from 2–6 p.m. for an additional charge.
